Alex Dremann is a Philadelphia-based playwright who has had over 600 productions and readings of his plays worldwide, including the US, South Korea, Australia, India, Dubai, The Congo, Italy, Iceland, England, Belgium, Scotland and Denmark.  Full-length plays include: “omniHappy” (Getchell Award winner and reading at South Eastern Theater Conference), “The Cure” (FutureFest Award winner and production at Dayton Playhouse), “The :nv:s:ble Play” (Philadelphia Theatre Workshop, Madlab Theatre, Theatre of NOTE, and Cone Man Running), “Split Pea Pod” (The Brick Playhouse), “Postcoital Variations” (Philadelphia Theatre Workshop) and “The Pear-Shaped Man Fights Crime” (PlayPenn workshop reading).  Short plays include: “On the Porch One Crisp Spring Morning” (Humana Festival Heideman Award finalist and published in “The Humana Festival: The Complete Plays”) and “spark. The Physics of Fiction” (winner of Stony Brook University's Simons Center Science Playwriting Competition).  Evenings of his collected short plays have been presented at Fever Dream Rep, Madlab Theatre, Wilmington City Theatre, Theatre Neo and Secret Room Theatre.  He has served as the Producing Artistic Director for SKITSoid and Secret Room Theatre in Philadelphia, and was a nominator for the Philadelphia Barrymore Theatre Awards.  He studied playwriting at the University of Southern California and has participated in the playwriting workshops reWrights in Los Angeles, The Group in New York City, and Philadelphia Dramatists Center and Bourbon Bowls in Philadelphia.  He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and New Play Exchange.
